Vegueros (literally “tobacco farmers”) pays tribute to the long-standing tradition of farmers in the Vuelta Abajo region of Pinar del Río, who for generations have rolled their own cigars with distinctive flavor. Visitors to the region often sought to try these unique smokes, and to meet this demand, the Francisco Donatien factory launched the Vegueros brand in 1996 as an homage to the hardworking farmers who cultivate and nurture Cuba’s finest tobacco.
All Vegueros cigars are Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga – totally handmade long-filler. In 2013, the brand underwent a relaunch with new packaging, blends, vitolas, and pricing, positioning itself firmly within the premium handmade Cuban cigar category. Its minimalist presentation, bold flavor, and excellent value have made Vegueros a favorite among aficionados.
