TRINIDAD

Trinidad was founded in 1969, named after the historic Cuban city of Trinidad (La Santísima Trinidad, also meaning “The Holy Trinity”). Like Cohiba, it was originally created exclusively for Fidel Castro, produced as a gift for foreign heads of state and diplomats – adding to the brand’s aura of mystery. It wasn’t until 1998 that Trinidad cigars became available on the international market.
For many years, Trinidad cigars were produced at El Laguito (the same factory as Cohiba). However, due to demand exceeding the factory’s capacity, production was later moved to Pinar del Río in the Vuelta Abajo region. The brand’s logo is composed of three interlocking “T”s, symbolizing “Tell The Truth” – a pledge to show what a truly fine cigar should be. All vitolas are Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga – totally handmade long-filler cigars.
