Punch is the second oldest Cuban cigar brand, founded in 1840 by Don Manuel Lopez. The brand’s name was inspired by the popular 19th-century English puppet show featuring the couple Punch and Judy. The character Punch, wearing a red long-tailed cap and seated with a cigar in hand, appears on the brand’s band.
In 1931, Punch cigars moved production to a friend’s factory, which is today known as the La Corona factory. The brand is celebrated for its medium-to-full-bodied flavor, blending tobaccos of various sizes from the Vuelta Abajo region. All Punch cigars are Totalmente a Mano con Tripa Larga – totally handmade long-filler cigars.
