The history of H. Upmann dates back to 1844, making it one of Cuba’s oldest cigar brands. It was founded by Herman Upmann, a German banker who had settled in Havana, and he became the first non-Cuban to establish a factory in Cuba under his own name. Known for producing cigars with a mild to medium strength, H. Upmann has long been favored by aficionados. All of the brand’s cigars are crafted using premium tobacco leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region.
