CUABA

“Cuaba” is derived from the dialect of Cuba’s indigenous people, referring to a type of shrub traditionally used to light cigars due to its excellent burning properties. Cuaba was first introduced in London in 1996, making it the newest Cuban cigar brand and the first new Cuban brand to enter commercial production since 1968. The brand’s cigars are rolled exclusively in figurados – irregular shapes with both ends tapered. This double-tapered style was highly popular in the 19th century, and only the most skilled torcedores are capable of crafting such perfectly shaped cigars.
