Piedra is a surviving pre-Revolution brand, founded in 1880 by Spanish shopkeeper Vicente Piedra. Later, his nephew José Lamadrid Piedra led the second generation of the family to develop the brand further, establishing his own namesake label. Piedra cigars use filler leaves exclusively from the Remedios tobacco plantations in Cuba, and are entirely handmade short-filler cigars (Totalmente a Mano Tripa Corta)
